Vero Beach Art Club
VOLUNTEER Opportunities
VOLUNTEER CARD
Volunteer cards are used to track service hours for the club. Many of our events require a specific number of volunteer hours for participation as well as attending general meetings. Cards may be picked up at the office or at any General Meeting. Coordinators, Event Chairs, and Officers are happy to sign off on these hours.
Your hours for Art in the Park Fine Arts & Crafts Show and Under the Oaks Fine Arts & Crafts Show start as soon as the deadline for that event has passed, so you may begin tracking hours for the following year. Please note that hours cannot be combined and used for multiple events.
· Art in the Park Fine Arts & Crafts Show requires 15 volunteer hours + attendance at 3 General Meetings (including Summer Potlucks and Luncheons)
· Under the Oaks Fine Arts & Crafts Show requires 25 volunteer hours + attendance at 3 General Meetings (including Summer Potlucks and Luncheons).
If you have any specific questions or would like to volunteer, please use the contact link to reach event chairs.
VOLUNTEERS
OUR MOST IMPORTANT ASSET!
At the Vero Beach Art Club, our volunteers are the cornerstone of our organization's success. With over 600+ active Adult, Youth, and Junior members, our volunteers play a vital role in running our events, meetings, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Club. Their dedication and commitment are what make our yearly events, art education programs, gallery, and marketplace thrive. We greatly appreciate the generosity of our volunteers, who not only contribute their time and expertise but also contribute to our scholarship and summer camp funds.
If you're interested in becoming a volunteer or have any questions about volunteering, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our event chairs or board members. Your participation will not only contribute to the growth of our organization but also enrich the arts community in Vero Beach.

art trail
Participating in a studio tour is a wonderful way to share your joy of making art with the community. It allows artists to open their studios to the general public and gives visitors an up close and personal look at the art and space where it is created. Volunteers are needed to assist participating artists at their studios in welcoming guests and to help with the overall logistics of the event.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
It is the mission of the Vero Beach Art Club (VBAC) to provide opportunities for community members to participate in art education classes and support the artistic growth of its members. In addition, VBAC wants to ensure that art is visible throughout Indian River County. Our members donate their time, expertise, and dollars which supports that mission. Our outreach program offers art instruction for children of all socioeconomic backgrounds and ages and is providing art instruction for our local veterans. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out our Volunteer Application, noting the medium, area, event or another specific way you would like to volunteer.
You are always welcome to be a general volunteer for any need that may arise. If you are interested in or know of a special project that you feel would benefit our community, please use our contact link to reach out to the appropriate committee chair or board member.
Education
The club offers a number of classes and workshops for anyone who is interested in learning more about a specific medium or technique. In order to keep these offerings, both plentiful and current, we are ALWAYS looking for ways to broaden our teacher pool.
If you or anyone you know would like to teach a class, let us know here:
EDUCATION AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Our most important mission is to support our local schools and provide scholarships for graduating seniors to attend a higher learning institution to study art. As part of the scholarship committee, members assist in reviewing applications and selecting winners. If interested, please reach out to the scholarship committee for more information. In addition to our specific scholarship committee, donations to the scholarship fund are accepted at many of our events, or in the office. The monies received as donations go toward our annual Scholarships, our Children’s and Veterans Program as part of our Outreach Program and gift cards for Art Teachers in Elementary/Middle Schools for art supplies.

EVENT VOLUNTEERS
Each one of our events is a critical piece to the success of the Vero Beach Art Club and to the artists it supports. The size and scope of these events requires many volunteers who are willing to help out in any of the needed areas. Volunteer tasks may range from processing applications, to event set up, to serving food or wine, to greeting the public. In addition, from time to time as our volunteer members pass the torch, there are vacancies in our Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs.

Winterfest
Each year in November our members make ornaments and decorate a tree that will be auctioned off at Winterfest to benefit the Riverside Children's Theater. If you would like to join in the fun for ornament making, please use our contact link for more information.
FINGER FOODS
Volunteer hours are awarded for bringing finger foods and helping to set up and clean up at our General Meeting Social Time. We are so thankful that our Club has so many wonderful people who give of their time and talent to make our Club successful and this is just one more way you can help out.

Ron Miller Spirit of Volunteerism Award
The Vero The Vero Beach Art Club is proud to offer The Ron Miller Spirit of Volunteerism Award, in memory of artist and member Ron Miller. Ron exemplified the kind of person who enables an Art Club like the Vero Beach Art Club to function. The Club plans to memorialize his spirit both as a successful and talented wood turner and as a dedicated volunteer and supporter of the Club and its functions. His relationship with the Club was almost symbiotic; he volunteered unstintingly and got love and support from Club members in the same measure. The Club will be forever grateful for the love, dedication, and kindness it received from Ron Miller, the Miller family, and Ron Miller’s friends.
