Artist Biography: John Streeter

John grew up in Ohio and was drawing from a very young age. After graduating from college and formal art training he started a sign and graphics business in Chicago. Over 40 years in the sign business he also honed his skills as a fine artist. Following his retirement in 2008 his passion turned to pastel art and photography.

John draws his inspiration from the natural beauty of the many places that he has traveled in the Midwest, Florida and beyond. His subject matter ranges from floral and landscape renderings to sunsets, seascapes and wildlife.

He is a member of the Chicago Pastel Painters, the Portrait Society of America and Vero Beach Art Club. When he is not painting, he gives private lessons and workshops.
