Instructor: Michael Degnon
Date: Saturday - September 19, 2026
Time: 9 AM - 4 PM (1 hour break for lunch)
Medium: Watercolor
Skill Level: Intermediate (artists with some experience with watercolor)
Number of Participants: 10
Workshop Description: There's a reason it's called "watercolor". Water is much more than the medium for mixing, diluting, and spreading paint, sometimes unintentionally. It is the key component of all watercolor techniques. Its mastery is essential for success in the creative process.
The morning session of the workshop will focus on the "wet" techniques, especially proper pigment application, brush control, masking, and lifting.
During the afternoon session, we will concentrate on the various "wet on dry" techniques and learn how they add values, texture, and structure to your watercolors.
A variety of reference photos will be available to choose from so the group can apply the techniques to a work(s) in progress as they are introduced.
